لاہور(قدرت روزنامہ13فروری2017)لاہور میں دھماکے کے باعث 16افراد شہید ہو گئے ہیں ،عینی شاہد کا کہناہے کہ جب دھماکہ ہوا تو لاشیں ایک دم اوپر کی طرف گئیں اور پھر نیچے گریں جس کے باعث ہر طرف چیخ و پکار کا عالم تھا .
تفصیلات کے مطابق عینی شاہدین کا کہناہے کہ کیپٹن مبین شہید مظاہرین سے احتجاج کیلئے موجود تھے کہ اتنی دیر میں دھماکہ ہو گیا اور ہر طرف چیخ و پکار شروع ہو گئی جبکہ دھماکے کے وقت موقع پر کئی ایمبولنس بھی موجود نہیں تھی .
سماءنیوز کے مطابق ایک عینی شاہد کا کہنا ہے کہ ایک مشتبہ شخص چلتا ہواجیسے ہی نجی ٹی وی آج نیوز کی ڈی ایس این جی وین کے قریب آیا تو زور دار دھماکہ ہوگیا. دھماکے کے وقت ہر طرف قیامت کے مناظر تھے،ہر جگہ دھواں ہی دھواں نظر آرہا تھاجبکہ آگ لگنے سے بہت سی گاڑیاں بھی بری طرح جل گئیں تھیں.ہم نے اپنی مدد آپ کے تحت زخمیوں اور لاشوں کو ہسپتال منتقل کیا.
LAHORE: At least 13 people, including senior police officers, were martyred Monday when a suicide bomber hit close to the Punjab Assembly in Lahore when hundreds of demonstrators had gathered for a protest.
The powerful explosion also left dozens injured, with reports of more than 70 wounded being treated at different hospitals in the eastern city of Lahore.
According to hospital officials, as many as 46 injured were brought to the Mayo hospital, while 28 injured were being treated at Mayo hospital.
The Deputy Commissioner in Lahore said at least 11 casualties had been confirmed. Officials confirmed that the attack was a suicide bombing.
Police had cordoned off the area on Mall Road, one of the city’s main arteries, amid fears of a second blast as rescuers raced to the scene, with images of the injured being carried away shown by local media.
The incident occurred as hundreds of chemists protested a new law near the Punjab Provincial Assembly building, Rana Sanaullah, the provincial Law Minister confirmed.
Chemists and owners of medical stores in Punjab had announced a demonstration near the Punjab Assembly building to protest the drug rules of the Provincial Government. The powerful explosion hit when hundreds of protestors were present at the location.
CCPO Lahore Ameen Vaince confirmed that Chief Traffic Officer Syed Ahmed Mobin has been martyred in the incident.
Senior Superintendent of Police Zahid Gondal had also been martyred, officials and relatives confirmed. Family members have identified Gondal’s body.
A heavy contingent of police reached the site of the incident. Media representatives were also present at the site of protest when the explosion took place. The protesters were dispersed following the blast.
The explosion was so powerful that it shattered windows of DSNG vans and police mobiles parked nearby.
Up to 400 people had attended the protest, according to a reporter who was on the scene when the explosion occurred.
“Suddenly there was a bang and a huge blast,” he said. “Everybody ran for safety.”
Meanwhile, police said that security has been put on red alert in Islamabad.
The Inspector-General of Police Islamabad issued directives for the red alert, following which all routes going in and coming out of the federal capital were being strictly monitored.
Suspicious man arrested: Law enforcement personnel have arrested a suspicious person from near Charing Cross in Lahore, close to where the suicide bomber detonated his explosives.
Meanwhile, banned terrorist outfit Jamaat-ul Ahrar has reportedly claimed responsibility for the attack.
According to initial reports from law enforcers, the terrorists had planned to attack the Governor House in Lahore, which was immediately secured by security personnel following the blast.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has strongly condemned the Lahore blast reaffirming that such cowardly attacks cannot shake the nation’s resolve against terrorism.
The prime minister, in a statement issued from PM House, directed provincial authorities to reach the site of bombing and expedite relief activities. He directed concerned officials to provide all possible assistance and best medical treatment to wounded of the attack.
COAS condemns attack
: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Bajwa while condemning the terrorist attack in Lahore expressed grief over the loss of innocent lives, ISPR said in a statement.
General Bajwa instructed local Army commander and intelligence agencies to provide all necessary assistance to the civil administration in the evacuation of injured to hospitals and also to apprehend those responsible for this heinous act.
According to another report, Jamaat Ahrar, a splinter group of Tehrik Taliban, had claimed the responsibility of the suicide attack on the policemen and journalists present at the protest site in front of Punjab Assembly building...
